Company insights
Where company insights come from, what Teleport fetches and what it only captures from pages you open, and how to refresh.
Company insights gathers public information about the employer into one page, with a source link and date on every fact. Missing information is shown as missing, never guessed.

Open it#
Click Company insights in the fit panel, or open it from a saved job.
The first time: allow the sources#
Teleport asks once for permission to reach its public sources. Click Allow and load. Chrome shows a prompt listing the sites. If you decline, nothing is fetched.
Fetched sources#
These are requested from your browser when you open insights, never in the background:
| Source | What it provides |
|---|---|
| Wikidata | Industry, size, headquarters, founding date, website and leadership |
| Wikipedia | A short company description |
| Google News | Up to 6 headlines from the last 180 days, with links |
| Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby public job boards | Open role counts, titles and posted pay ranges |
| The company website | The homepage description, only if you grant that site and its robots.txt allows it |
| The posting | The pay range in the posting itself |
If a source doesn't respond, insights tells you which one under Some sources didn't respond. If the company website needs permission, What Teleport couldn't find shows an Allow button for it.
Captured from pages you visit#
Teleport never fetches review sites. When you open a company's page on Glassdoor, Indeed or Comparably yourself, Teleport can add the ratings and review text you can see to that company's insights, credited to the site with the date.
- A chip confirms each capture: "Added what you see to Company insights in Teleport." Click Undo to remove it.
- Captures are stored only on your device.
- Turn this off in Settings → Save ratings from review pages I visit.

Summary and what to ask#
Insights summarizes the themes in captured reviews, what the culture and interviews look like, and what this means for you, with questions you could ask. Without AI the summary is built locally. With your own AI key it's written by your model from the same sources.
Freshness#
Insights are cached on your device for 3 days. Click Refresh to load them again.
