Talent pools

What joining recruiter talent pools shares, what it never shares, and how to opt out.

Talent pools let recruiters find candidates like you without seeing who you are. Joining is optional, off by default, and you can leave any time.

Two separate choices#

Both are on Privacy & data, both are off by default, and the second needs the first:

  1. Include me in recruiter talent pools.
  2. Let recruiters request to contact me. Needs talent pools.

What recruiters see if you join#

The server builds a pseudonymous summary from your synced profile:

  • Role family, level and years of experience band
  • Top skills and skill levels
  • Coarse region (state or country) and work-mode preference
  • Highest degree level and the kinds of roles you save
  • The date you were last active
  • If you answered them: a work authorization bucket, clearance, availability, salary band, languages, industries, company stages and relocation preference

Each recruiter organization sees a different pseudonymous ID for you, so organizations can't link you across their views.

What recruiters never see#

  • Your name or email, unless you also allow contact requests
  • Your resume text or free-text answers
  • Your employers
  • Your exact salary

Contact requests#

If you allow contact requests, a recruiter can click Request contact on your summary. Your name and email are shared with that recruiter only for pools you're in, and only while this choice is on.

Privacy threshold#

Pools with fewer than 3 members are hidden from recruiters, and searches that match too few candidates return nothing.

See who looked#

Every recruiter action that includes you is logged: listing pools, viewing a pool, matching a search and requesting contact. Click Download account data to see the log. See export and delete.

Opt out#

Clear Include me in recruiter talent pools. You're removed from pools straight away, and your summary is deleted from the server. Your account data stays saved and in sync.
